About this product.

The iQ EM2101 measures a single-phase supply up to 80 A. It records electrical values and energy consumption in both directions. Read values locally on the LCD display, or use LoRaWAN to bring the readings into your application.

An integrated relay supports switching functions. The digital input can monitor the state of an external circuit breaker. Settings are available through the touch buttons, mobile app or LoRaWAN downlinks.

EM2101 is at End of Sale and is being replaced by the DEM series. For a new project or replacement, compare DEM1 and DEM2. Match the required current capacity, connections and switching functions when choosing a successor.

IN YOUR ENVIRONMENTPRACTICAL USE CASES

Find the consumption worth investigating.

The useful question is not just how much energy a building uses, but where, when and what changed.

Understand the overnight baseline

An electricity bill shows a total, but it does not tell a facilities team what remains active after everyone leaves.

WHERE YOBIIQ COMES IN

Measure selected circuits and compare operating hours with evenings and weekends in your application. Investigate unexpected demand against the equipment and opening schedule for that area.

FITS INTO YOUR WORLDNETWORKS & PLATFORMS

Your network.
Your way of working.

Connect the device to a LoRaWAN network, then bring its data into the application your team uses. Each layer has a different job.

01

Network servers

Connect devices and route their LoRaWAN messages.

02

Application platforms

Turn decoded data into dashboards, history and actions.

LoRaWAN reporting requires a network server and a payload decoder matched to the EM2101 and its firmware.

THE APPLICATION LAYER

From meter readings to a working overview.

Compare consumption, review trends and investigate reported events. This published YOBI Cloud example shows how energy data can be organised; the available fields depend on the meter and integration.

FROM SELECTION TO SITEPLAN YOUR INSTALLATION

A good deployment starts here.

Four things to settle before the first device goes into service.

  1. 01

    Choose measurement points

Decide whether you need a building total, a circuit view or separate readings for individual spaces.

  2. 02

    Match the electrical installation

Confirm the single-phase connection, current capacity and DIN-rail space with the installer.

  3. 03

    Bring readings into the platform

Commission the LoRaWAN connection and verify units, timestamps and the selected reporting interval.

  4. 04

    Record the baseline

Collect a representative period and label the measurement points before using the data to assess changes.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you choose.

Practical answers about EM2101 — Single-phase electricity meter.

Ask us something else
Can I still order an EM2101?

EM2101 is at End of Sale and is being replaced by the DEM series. Explore DEM1 and DEM2 or ask us to help select a replacement.

Is this a single-phase or three-phase meter?

EM2101 is a single-phase, direct-connected meter up to 80 A. The DEM range includes DEM4 for three-phase measurement.

Does EM2101 include a relay?

Yes. The meter has an integrated relay and a digital input for monitoring an external circuit breaker.

Can the meter measure without LoRaWAN?

Yes. Local measurement and display work independently. Wireless reporting requires an operational LoRaWAN network.
